WCKC MEMBERSHIP MINUTES

MAY 15, 2008

Meeting called to order at 7:40 P.M. by President Dianne Lange.

No corrections or additions were made to the April minutes so they will stand approved as published.

Treasurer's report made via a handout.

Committees:

Programs/Suzy Howard - Tina Allen suggested that having a 4H speaker to acquaint our members with their various activities would make an interesting program. Possibly it could be arranged for the September meeting.

Training/Jaime Barnes - 25 people signed up for the Spring obedience classes.

2008 Show/Caryn Schill - The Lebanon Chamber of Commerce has asked for information concerning our trial so it can be placed on their website.  The premium lists are available for distribution.  The obedience rings are covered for stewards.  Jaime Barnes may need one more steward for the rally rings.  Melissa Koch reported that the trophy lists have been published and all money has been received.  She will need cash or donation of items for the raffle.  Also, there is a need for someone to man the table for trophies, catalogs and the raffle.  Dianne Lange reported that the price for the caterer will be the same as last year.  She will need desserts for both days.  Help will be needed between 8 and 9 A.M. to set up the hospitality area and to decorate the class rings.  Mary Wuest has ordered the golf carts.  The American Legion again will help out.  Mary will need people on Tuesday evening to help measure parking spaces.  Muffie Schill has sent out letters to various vendors.  If you have any suggestions, please contact her.  Arlene Liebing has all the stewards and judges for the puppy match.

Old Business:  Gene Schill & Mary Wuest will be working on updating the General Rules & Procedures.

Jim Prickett has reported that the Warren County Park system has moved its dog adoption program to October.

Muffie Schill would like information in regard to 2007 awards by the end of May.  She needs the name of the dog, title earned and which show plus the date.

Warren County Fair is July 13 - 19.  Need volunteers.  Please contact Mary Wuest.

New Business:  Mary Wuest suggested that stewarding classes be presented at the training building on the fairgrounds.  These classes will be held May 28 and June 11 at 7 P.M.

Need a member to sign up for the mentoring program suggested by AKC.

Picnic will be on July 12 at noon.  Hisey Park will be the location this year.  It is in Waynesville.  Please donate paper products for the Warren County Humane Society.

Brags:

Ken Patrick - Newfoundland Willie won Winners Dog at Crowne Point in Indiana.
